Small Area Plan

Residents were able to speak to the Planning Commission on December 17 about the Park Point Small Area Plan outcomes. The Small Area Plan Committee is an advisory committee comprised of Park Point residents selected by Councilor Sharla Gardner.

The Planning Commission is now looking at the city staff recommendations, the SAP committee’s reports, the PPCC survey, and the public comments collected. Planning commissioner Ms. Zandra Zwiebel said that further public comments can be relayed through City Planning- contact Jenn Reed Moses, Planner II, jmoses@duluthmn.gov Phone: (218) 730-5328. The Planning Commission will have a public hearing prior to adoption then the City Council will discuss a resolution of adoption of the plan.  Both meetings are public and will take comments. Watch for a date for the next Planning Commission meeting on the website or in an email.

Beach Biking

Beach Biking was superb in early December,  best I have seen in several years. The window of opportunity for this activity is short so you have to be on alert for optimum conditions.

Thanks to our neighbor down near 42nd for these good pics of a happy dog and some neat sights along the beach.
