NNO Potluck Dinner, Beach House, August 2, 6-8pm or longer :)

Hello Neighbors,

All Park Pointers are invited to a Community Potluck Dinner at the Beach House on Tuesday, August 2, from 6-8pm or later! If you are new to our island, the Beach House is at 5000 Minnesota Ave.

Several community volunteers have planned this gathering and the Community Club is supporting the event with beverages, plates/cups/utensils, music and the all weather, larger venue of the wonderful beach house.

Live music is back by popular demand and will feature Jamie Ness of The Boomchucks along with a couple of Jamie’s friends.

Our City partners who help us keep our island beautiful and safe are invited: Mayor Larson, Councillor Em Westerlund, our Community Police (their canine and equestrian partners) and Park Rangers and Police Chief Mike Tusken too.

If you are involved in your own “bloc event”, try to join us later if possible. Please invite your neighbors who may not be on this email list to the Beach House Potluck. If you have a new neighbor, consider passing along an invitation.

The YMCA who has managed the Beach House and life guards for the past few years have been working with us to plan this event for us to meet some new neighbors and get to know each other better.

People with mobility issues can be driven right up to the ramp of the Beach House by going through one of the gates.

As you may have read in the July Breeze, next Tuesday, August 2, is National Night Out, or officially called Night to Unite in Minnesota, or just called Neighbors Nite Out here on Park Point. It was started 33 years ago to promote neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.
