The following information is from Duluth Rowing Club volunteer Debra McLaughlin:

“I am one of the many, many volunteers working with the Duluth Rowing Club on our 51st Annual Duluth International Rowing Regatta. The date is Saturday, July 11, 2009. The teams from around the upper Midwest and Canada will begin arriving on Friday night with their trailers full of rowing shells. Saturday brings a full day of exciting racing. Our first choice is always to race on the Bay between the rowing club and Hearding Island. If the winds make that to rough we move to the Lake.”

The following tree-planting information is from Kinnan Stauber:

We are planning on planting the last three Saturdays in May.

16^th we will be at the S-curve parking area, the 23^rd we will be behind Lafayette, and the 30^th will be in “the Barrens” (Between the beach house and the airport)

All work times are 9-12. We will have about 600 trees and shrubs to plant, and will also do some beachgrass transplanting to fill in the really bare spots.
