what happened to the old playground equipment?

A local person wanted to share this, they wish to remain anonymous.  Thank you for the contribution to this site:

“Some of you may be wondering what happened to the old playground equipment that used to be at the end of park point, before the playground was remade about a year ago.  Well it was tossed in a dumpster.

My husband and I couldn’t believe that they would just toss everything out and not try to sell or give it away.  Well, we went dumpster diving before the garbage truck came and managed to save a slide and tire swing.  My husband built a playgound on our property for our kids.  So these two nice pieces of equipment will be enjoyed for years to come, instead of being buried in a land fill.

Our DIY playground has a swing, tire swing, rope balance beam, rock climbing wall, rope ladder, slide, and fireman’s pole.  Here’s some pictures of the playground, built this spring & summer.”
