The following information is from Debra McLaughlin:

51st Duluth International Rowing Regatta

For Park Pointers who wish to enjoy the 51st Annual Duluth International Rowing Regatta, below is the schedule of events. Races are scheduled to start at 8 am and run through about 5 pm. The list of participating teams and their uniform colors is also listed so you can cheer these athletes on. (Note: your home team Duluth Rowing Club is in maroon and white.)

Races are scheduled to take place starting just to the south of Hearding Island and ending at the Duluth Rowing Club. If the wind makes the Bay too choppy we will be on the Lake side along that same stretch.

Please come and cheer on our wonderful athletes

I’ve converted and uploaded 36 vintage editions of “The Breeze”.  This treasure trove of breeze can be viewed by clicking TheBreeze on the top of this site.

These are all the digital copies of “The Breeze” that we know of, if you have any other digital copies, send them to me and I’ll post them.

The following information is from Duluth Rowing Club volunteer Debra McLaughlin:

“I am one of the many, many volunteers working with the Duluth Rowing Club on our 51st Annual Duluth International Rowing Regatta. The date is Saturday, July 11, 2009. The teams from around the upper Midwest and Canada will begin arriving on Friday night with their trailers full of rowing shells. Saturday brings a full day of exciting racing. Our first choice is always to race on the Bay between the rowing club and Hearding Island. If the winds make that to rough we move to the Lake.”
