Fire and emergency medical services have been at or near the top of residents’ concerns for several years. The closing of Fire Station 5, in June 2012, made conditions even worse. A report was recently written that deals directly with this matter. It is titled Residents Concerns About Insufficient Fire and Medical Emergency Services in Duluth, Minnesota. 2014 December 3. The report provides details of current conditions, analysis of the City of Duluth consultant’s report titled Comprehensive Study Of The Duluth Fire Department, 2012 March, and some feasible solutions.
