Take a look at this DRAFT plan and submit comments on the Park Point Recreation Area:

Dear Community Members,

After a year-long planning and community engagement process, I’m happy to share thatthe Draft Park Point Recreation Area Plan is available for public review and comment!

The Draft Park Point Recreation Area Plan highlights the history and current conditions of the Rec Area, outlines public engagement opportunities and input we heard from community members, and recommends a renewed vision for the Rec Area that is more sustainable, accessible, ecologically healthy, community-oriented, and modern.

The draft plan can be viewed here: https://duluthmn.gov/media/im0kn0so/2026-03-12-draft-ppra-plan-plus-appendix-for-public-comment.pdf

The comment form can be found at the bottom of the project webpage here: https://duluthmn.gov/parks/parks-trails/current-projects/park-point-recreation-area/

The public comment period will remain open until Friday, March 27, 2026.  After the public comment period closes, the project team will review the comments received, incorporate changes where appropriate, and prepare a final version of the Park Point Recreation Area Plan for consideration at a future Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, before bringing it to Duluth City Council. The official Press Release can be viewed here: https://duluthmn.gov/web-subscriptions/View-press-release/?prid=8330

We hope you enjoy reading through the draft plan and look forward to your constructive feedback.

Sincerely,

Katie Bennett
