This is from Dennis Hoelscher:

“DRC Boat House, Soon a Memory!”

“The subject is the Duluth Rowing Club boat house. It is scheduled for demolition in 2016. If you have not seen it the structure is an older ramshackle building, but has character, charm, and history.”

Updated Tree & Brush Drop Off Info for Park Point Quarantine

Hi Neighbors,

Here is the newest information about where to take your trimmings/trees on Park Point. Do not take any brush or trees off of Park Point. See info. below:

Tree parts and brush drop off site will be temporarily closed and reevaluated for a new regular schedule in March, when people typically start tree cutting and spring prep

–          Park Point residents will still have access to the site by request to Dale Sellner at 730-4303 as no wood parts can leave the Point.

–          No members of the public are allowed to use this site for trash drop off or to drop off tree parts from other areas of the city.

–          This temporary closure would be effective January 11, 2016 with a new schedule to be determined in early spring.
