Skating on Park Point-Thank you to Volunteers and the City of Duluth Crews!
Thanks to the continued support from the City of Duluth and Park Point volunteers, skating at Lafayette is now a go!
The lower level will be open when volunteers are available to facilitate opening and closing, hours will be posted here.
Assistance with rink maintenance and building cleaning & tidying, would be most appreciated and is vital to the success of skating at Lafayette.

The 2017 Seasons of the St. Louis Photo Contest is almost over! We can’t believe the summer has come and gone so quickly and we’re closing in on the contest we started back in June! Incredible! We have had amazing submissions from so many talented photographers. This email is a reminder to not let time get away from you and to share your photos of the river, or share this email with the brilliant artists in your life.

II. The area served by the Club and hereinafter referred to as the Community Is all that land in the City of Duluth lying south of the Aerial Lift Bridge and known as Park Point.
III. The purpose of the Club is to work for the betterment of the Community and the welfare of its residents.
IV. Full membership of the Club is available to all residents of the community, eighteen years and older. They shall become full, voting members of the Club 24 hours after payment of the annual membership dues as determined by the Club.
V. Full membership shall cover the Club’s fiscal year of 1 January to 31 December.
A.The membership fee may be paid at any scheduled meeting or at a Dues Collection Event sponsored by the Vice President or the Treasurer.
B.During December and January, the fee shall be formally solicited from all residents of the community by representatives of the Club, under the direction of the Vice President of the Club, who is Chairperson of the annual membership drive.
Also Notice on Bridge Assessment on Oct. 17
The City of Duluth is informing the public about some site assessment work that will take place on the Aerial Lift Bridge on October 17, 2017. This work is necessary to prepare for the anticipated deck replacement project that will start in January 2018. The Lift Bridge will be reduced to single lane two-way traffic from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on October 17.
Motorists should be mindful of the traffic signal, drive slowly and watch for the possible presence of flaggers.
Motorists should also plan additional travel time as there will be delays. The Aerial Lift Bridge may also lift for marine traffic, if requested.

History of Duluth’s Parks on Thursday, June 22 at 7pm at Lafayette, upper level, open to the public
Art Fair this weekend! June 24 and 25
Hello,
Would you be willing to volunteer at the fair on Friday, Saturday or Sunday?
Please contact: Diane Gould, volunteer coordinator 727-4067
FRIDAY: June 23rd Late morning set-up for the big days; afternoon positions available for greeting artists, assisting them in locating their booths, offering exit information and answering questions, etc.
SATURDAY, June 24th and SUNDAY the 25th Tasks: Greet the artists and hand out maps Booth-sit for artists who may need a break; no money transactions involved Children’s Make-and-take area Grounds clean up (trash can duty)
SUNDAY 5:00pm into early evening: Break down and return items to Lafayette; grounds clean up Please consider volunteering for at least a 2-hour period of time.
All volunteers are invited to attend the Artist Awards Ceremony and Dinner on Saturday evening!
Remember: This is the largest fundraiser for the Park Point Community Club, which supports such things as the Breeze, the Lafayette Summer Youth Program and miscellaneous environmental and community sponsored projects.
